The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is the perfect class to continue your learning and hone your skills as a diver. You’ll practice many skills that will help take your diving to the next level. Want to see that wreck down at 90ft? Another benefit to the advanced course is that is extends your depth limit to 100ft from the 60ft allowed with Open Water.
Cost: $280 for the full course - This cost includes your book and the training dives in an open-water setting required to complete certification. Gear is not included but can be rented for an additional charge and must be picked up prior to your lake weekend.
Prerequisite: Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver or equivalent
Minimum Age: 12
When you sign-up with us, we send you home with your Advanced Diver Manual to be completed on your own time, in your comfort and at your convenience. The chapters you need to complete are as follows:
• Introduction
• Thinking Like A Diver
• Navigation
• Deep
• Search and Recovery
• Peak Performancy Buoyancy
• Night
The course is made up of five adventure dives, building on the diving fundamentals of the Open Water course. Navigation and Deep are mandatory but the other three specialties are optional dives that can be supplement with others when needed. . If you would like a different adventure dive just let us know – we’d be happy to talk to you about different specialty options. The Advanced Diver Manual is full on great diving knowledge so don’t feel like you have to stop there but the listed chapters are the requirements set out for the class. We complete these 5 adventure dives over 2 days which we do at the lake each Saturday and Sunday.
There is a short medical form that will need to be filled out by each participant prior to any in-water activity. The form requires fully written ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ answers (not Y or N or checkmarks, etc). If there is a ‘Yes’ on this form, you will need a doctors release prior to participation.
