Scuba Course - PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Certification

The PADI Nitrox Course is the most popular specialty class. It’s no wonder as enriched air, also known as Nitrox or EANx contains less nitrogen than regular air. Breathing less nitrogen means that you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals.

PREREQUISITES: Open Water Diver Certification

MINIMUM AGE: 12

When you sign-up with us, we’ll send you home with a Nitrox manual to be completed on your own time, at your comfort and convenience. All chapters and knowledge reviews in the book will need to be completed prior to your class.

In our comfortable classroom setting, you will learn to set a dive computer for use with nitrox, to use an oxygen air analyzer to record a tanks specific percentage of blend of each gases and learn about diving with maximum operating depths or oxygen and nitrogen blends.

There are no dives required for Nitrox. We schedule classes monthly for the specialty but can also add more as needed. Let us know!

There is a short medical form that will need to be filled out by each participant prior to any in-water activity. The form requires fully written ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ answers (not Y or N or checkmarks, etc). If there is a ‘Yes’ on this form, you will need a doctors release prior to participation. Below is a link to the medical form for your convenience.
