Karen Anderson, Divemaster

Karen started diving in 2017 when she took her first open water class at Sharky’s Scuba. She was instantly hooked and completed several additional courses. She attained her Advanced Open Water certification that same year. After her first dive trip to Bonaire in November of 2017 and a trip to Belize the following July, Karen decided to continue her scuba diving training. She became a Divemaster in April of 2019.

Her scuba diving passion has taken her to such scuba hot spots as Roatan, Honduras; the Cayman Islands, and Turks and Caicos. She especially enjoys diving wrecks and hopes to dive the Andrea Doria off the U.S. east coast someday. Her bucket list dives include the Red Sea, Thailand, Chuuk (Truk) Lagoon in Micronesia, Palau, Grenada, Curacao, and Cocos Island in Costa Rica. She would also like to do a shark dive in the Bahamas.

While the dive trips are fantastic, she still enjoys diving at the lake and assisting in training new divers. Outside of diving, Karen enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and their horses and dog.
