Shane Hammons, Open Water Scuba Instructor

Shane began his diving career on a whim. He just wanted to try it and after he did, his interest in diving flourished. He discovered he really enjoyed it and wanted to learn more about diving so in 2013, he became certified as an Open Water Diver. He decided to further his training and with encouragement from Sharky Shane Norwood, he became a divemaster in 2016. In April 2020, he was certified as an Open Water Scuba Instructor.

In 2018, Shane made his passion his job when he moved to the Virgin Islands with his wife and young daughters to work on a dive boat. The job was a great experience for him. He met interesting people, saw a lot of cool dive sites, and helped others experience the excitement of scuba diving.

Shane’s favorite places to dive are Belize and the Virgin Islands. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with friends and seeing new places. His bucket list dive is Cocos Island in Costa Rica.
