Doug Alford, Open Water Scuba Instructor

Doug Alford discovered scuba diving in 1988 in California. He took some time off from diving, then rekindled his love for the sport in 2012. Since that time, he has stayed active in the diving community. He expanded his knowledge and dedication to scuba diving by becoming a PADI Certified Dive Master in 2014, and then continued his professional training by achieving PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor status in 2015.

Doug has worked with Sharky’s Scuba since it opened in 2016. He feels fortunate to have the opportunity to work with some of his best friends, people he considers his scuba family.

He enjoys everything about scuba diving. As an instructor, he loves to share his knowledge and experience with all students, staff, and friends. He loves to travel to all types of dive destinations, locally and worldwide.

In the summertime, you will usually find him at Lake Tenkiller on the weekends teaching scuba diving or just out diving for fun with friends. When he’s not scuba diving, he’s probably entertaining friends and family. His moto is: “Scuba Diving is Life, everything else is just a surface interval.”
