Sara Perdue-Cantrell, IDC Staff Instructor

Sara became a certified Open Water scuba diver on April 15, 2012, under the tutelage of Sharky Shane Norwood. Little did she know how diving would change the course of her life. She had found her passion and within a year and a half of her first dive, Sara became a PADI Divemaster. In 2016, she became an instructor, and she has acquired certifications in many specialties.

Not only did diving provide Sara with many friends, but it also introduced her to her husband Ron Cantrell, the Course Director at Sharky’s Scuba.

Sara’s favorite places to dive include the Philippines, the Cayman Islands, Belize, the Great Barrier Reef, Cozumel, and Palau. She also enjoys diving at Lake Tenkiller in eastern Oklahoma. Her bucket list of dive locations includes the Galapagos, Bali, Iceland (Silfra Fissure), Thailand, the Red Sea and the Flower Gardens off the coast of Texas during hammerhead season.
